Guisborough's drew 2-2 with newly-promoted Morpeth Town at the King George V on Saturday...

By Guisborough Town manager Chris Hardy

In a game that started very brightly for us in the opening 25 minutes, which saw controlled possession and numerous scoring opportunities, beyond this point the game seemed lose tempo and became a very lacklustre affair on behalf of both sides.

Taking the lead with 10 minutes to go I'd hoped that was good enough to see out and secure all three points, but then came the most bizarre cross come shot for the equaliser and in the end we had to score a equaliser of our own in a final 10 minutes which had become end to end and wide open for someone to win the game.

On reflection, Saturday's game was a bit disappointing not to get all three points as I believe we under achieved today in terms of our over all 90 minutes performance, but having said this neither side in my opinion deserved to win or lose this fixture based on what was on show.
