The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat were called into action in our area at the weekend.
Just before twenty past four on Sunday afternoon, the Redcar D Class lifeboat was launched to assist in an incident at Saltburn.
The incident resolved by Police and the crew were able to return to the lifeboat station a short time later.
A young woman in a walking party had to be rescued by 999 crews at the weekend after she took ill on the Cleveland Way.
The Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team was called to the route on Sunday the woman fell ill on the annual Whalebones Walk, which takes place from Whitby to Marske.
The woman was at Cold Moor, on the Cleveland Way, when the rescue operation was sparked.
The call for assistance came in at 2.20pm, with North Yorkshire Police informing the rescue team that the woman could no longer continue.
When the rescue team arrived, some stayed at a point with a stretcher in case it was needed for an evacuation while other members carried on to check on the woman.
She was eventually 'walked off' the hill and driven back up to meet the rest of her walking party once she had been medically assessed.
