A court has heard how Middlesbrough man Tomasz Dembler was likely to have been in extreme pain when he died from a combination of his injuries.
Day seven of the Flatts Lane body murder trial, the prosecution called a Home Office pathologist to the witness stand.
She had carried out a post mortem on Tomasz Dembler, who was 39 when he died.
The jury at Teesside Crown Court listened in silence, for almost three hours, as the doctor listed every injury she found to Mr Dembler's body.
The five defendants all deny murder, and the trial continues.
A man has been charged with a drink driving offence after a pick up truck smashed into the front of a bungalow in Eston.
The incident happened on Barnaby Crescent on Friday night, shortly after 9pm.
Emergency services arrived at the scene to find a black car embedded into the front of the house.
Firefighters worked to isolate the gas and electric supply at the property which was left with a hole in the wall, a smashed front window and cracked bricks.
No injuries were reported either to the female occupany of the bungalow, or to the driver of the vehicle.
A woman had to be taken to hospital after a house fire on a residential street in Marske.
The early morning incident happened on Delamere Drive yesterday morning.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene, and it is understood that the bathroom of the home was completely destroyed in the blaze.
The woman, who has not been identified, was given oxygen therapy by firefighters at the scene before being taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
