A court has heard how five people accused of the murder of Middlesbrough dad Tomasz Dembler made repeated journeys to the Flatts Lane area.
Yesterday, the jury watched CCTV footage that showed two Mercedes cars and a blue Ford Mondeo drive to Flatts Lane country park, in the hours and days after the prosecution allege the five accused killed Mr Dembler.
They heard that the cars belonged to three of the accused.
The prosecution conceded it is not possible to tell who the passengers are in the car during each journey, but said that one of the accused is recognizable on the footage because they were wearing a peach-coloured top.
The jury at Teesside Crown Court heard from a number of witnesses on Wednesday afternoon, and the trial continues.
A 35-year-old man had to be taken to hospital after he sustained serious head injuries during a collision with a car in Middlesbrough
It happened on Tuesday at 4.25pm on Acklam Road near the Coronation Pub when the man was in collision with a Kia Venga.
He fell to the ground and was momentarily unconscious, but he then got up and went into the pub where police and ambulance staff tended to him.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone with dash cam and who was in the area around just before and at the time of the collision to contact Cleveland Police via the non-emergency number 101.
The Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland has invited residents from across the borough to a ceremony in Redcar’s Garden of Remembrance today to mark National Holocaust Memorial Day.
Taking place today at 10am, the ceremony will involve civic officials and representatives of the British Legion remembering those who died in the Holocaust and also the genocides of Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
The Garden of Remembrance is located on Coatham Road, opposite the Cenotaph and members of the public are welcome to attend.
The event did not occur last year due to the pandemic.
