Police have traced a woman after a report of a concern for safety of an elderly lady in New Marske.
A member of the public reported to police having come across an elderly woman who was lying at the side of the road on Sandy Lane at New Marske at around 9.50pm on Saturday.
The member of the public was concerned for her welfare.
Shortly after sighting the woman, an unknown man collected the woman in a 4x4 style vehicle and drove away in the direction of Guisborough.
Police issued an appeal to trace the woman to check on her welfare following the incident.
However yesterday evening officers confirmed that they had spoken to those involved and that the incident was no longer of concern to police and the matter is now closed.
The Met Office has named the latest weather phenomenon set to batter our area and the rest of the UK on Tuesday as 'Storm Barra'.
The forecasters have issued a blanket yellow weather warning for the whole of the UK.
It comes as satellite pictures show winds of 40mph with gusts of 70mph heading our way from Tuesday, and snow fall from 2cm in low lying areas to 10cm on higher ground.
People living throughout the North East, the rest of England and Wales, and parts of eastern Scotland can expect "strong winds", "potential travel disruption" and possible power cuts, the Met Office's yellow warning says.
Coastal areas are expected to be worst hit by the storm.
The covid vaccination pop-up clinic is in Saltburn today.
The team will be at Saltburn Cricket Club on Marske Mill between 10am-5pm.
If you are planning on going along, you should ensure that at least 8 weeks have passed between your first and second jab.

For boosters, you should make sure at least 6 months passed since your second dose.
12-15 year olds can also get a Pfizer vaccine if they have consent from a parent or guardian.
