Police are appealing for witnesses and CCTV after a woman suffered serious head injuries in Redcar;

The public are being reminded to take care at the coast during the current period of strong winds and bad weather;

...and the pop-up vaccination clinic team returns to Redcar on Monday, where they’ll be supported in administering vaccines and boosters at Redcar & Cleveland College by the Northumbria Roving Vaccine Unit.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses and CCTV after a woman suffered serious head injuries in Redcar.

Officers are investigating the circumstances of how the woman received the injuries.

She remains in James Cook University Hospital in a stable condition at this time.

The incident happened on Thursday evening when the 25-year-old woman was located unconscious with head injuries shortly after midnight on Redcar High Street, near to KFC. 

Detectives would like to ask anyone who may have been in the area of the High Street between 9pm on Thursday and 00:15am yesterday morning who may have witnessed anything suspicious or may have information, to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

 

The public are being reminded to take care at the coast during the current period of strong winds and bad weather.

High tides and rough seas are expected to continue over the weekend.

Members of the the public are being advised to take care especially near slipways, on our beaches and around exposed coastal areas such as South Gare.

In an emergency dial you shoudl dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

 

The pop-up vaccination clinic team returns to Redcar on Monday, where they’ll be supported in administering vaccines and boosters at Redcar & Cleveland College by the Northumbria Roving Vaccine Unit.

The success of the mobile unit has been unprecedented, with more and more residents requesting visits or returns to their towns. 4059 people have been jabbed by the team so far, with a session taking place yesterday at Loftus.

For Monday’s session at Redcar & Cleveland College – on Corporation Road - people can turn up without an appointment from 10am – 5pm.

First and second vaccines are available as always, plus flu jabs for people aged 65+ and those under 65 who are eligible.
