It's been announced that the route of a popular train service in our area is to be extended.

confirmed yesterday that their Manchester rail service will be extended from Redcar to Saltburn in May.

The train operator TransPennine Express announced yesterday that from spring next year, its service from Manchester Airport which currently runs through Middlesbrough and terminates at Redcar will now end at Saltburn.

The hourly service, which will also give direct access from Saltburn to York, Leeds and Manchester, will open up a route for local people who currently have to change at Redcar.

Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team and partner agencies are working together to stamp out antisocial behaviour and associated crime in the Hemlington area.

Antisocial behaviour in Hemlington has become an issue over recent weeks, with incidents ranging from fires to missiles thrown at emergency vehicles and windows smashed.

Officers are working closely with agencies including the local authority and other community partners, including social housing landlords, Fire and Rescue and community engagement projects, to tackle priorities associated with antisocial behaviour.

This approach utilises the skills, knowledge and powers of each agency to help reduce and stop further problems.

Members of the public are being reminded that new daily walk in vaccination clinics have been announced in our area.

The clinics will be available at the Middlesbrough Riverside Stadium throughout October every Monday to Sunday from midday until 1pm, and 5pm to 6pm.

1st and 2nd does of the Pfizer vaccinations are available for people aged 16+.

If you are attending for your second dose, you should ensure that it has been at least eight weeks since your first one.
