Police are appealing for information following a suspected arson attack in Guisborough.
The incident occurred on Thursday at around 9:15pm when a white Ford fiesta was set alight on Woodhouse Road.
Extensive damage was caused to the victim’s house as a result of the fire.
It is believed a male who was driving a grey or silver coloured Landrover Discovery was responsible for the reported arson attack.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with private CCTV footage to contact them on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat were call into action in our area yesterday.
Just before 1am yesterday the lifeboat was launched following reports of a missing person at Saltburn.
However, the person was found safe by others and the lifeboat crew were able to return to the lifeboat station.
Police are appealing for information following an arson attack in Hemlington.
In the early hours of last Monday, something alight was put through the porch door of a ground floor flat on Mapleton Drive, causing significant damage to the door.
However no-one was injured in the incident.
Inquiries are on-going and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them via the 101 number.
