A man is due in court later today after being charged with attempted murder.
The 59-year-old man was charged with attempted murder last night.
It comes after police received a report of a seriously injured 51-year-old woman being found in at street in North Ormesby in the early hours of Sunday morning.
She reported that she had been physically assaulted in a nearby address.
Inquiries led the investigation to the Coventry area and the man was arrested there on Monday before being brought back to our area to be interviewed.
Police have seized a motorbike which was being driven dangerously in Eston.
The white Sinnis motorcycle was seized by neighbourhood officers after numerous calls from Bankfields residents reporting it was being used in antisocial behaviour.
It had also failed to stop for police several times and was located and seized for insurance offences.

The older girl’s or teenager’s bike has been handed in at Eston Police Office and officers say that although they haven’t had any reports of one being lost or stolen, they would love to reunite it with its rightful owner.
