Four men are set to face a trial in connection with an alleged fight in Guisborough.

Three of the accused appeared at Teesside Crown Court yesterday in connection with an alleged altercation on Helmsley Drive on March 3rd.

A total of seven men were arrested in connection with the incident, with four later being charged.

All three men pleaded not guilty to the charges at the short hearing.

The fourth man was unable to attend the plea hearing but his defence barrister told the court he understands his client will also plead not guilty to the charges.

The trial is scheduled to begin on October 25 and is likely to last around three days.

The three defendants who appeared at the court were released on conditional bail until their trial.

The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat were called into action in our area yesterday.

Just after twenty to three yesterday afternoon both lifeboats were launched to search for a missing person.

A short time later the person was found safe on the shore.

The lifeboats were then able to return to the lifeboat station at Redcar.

The team were called out to the location at Skinningrove where a bag with personal items was found on the cliff top.

The team carried out a search of the local area, but did not identify anyone who appeared to be in any danger or distress.

Unfortunately there is no identification with the bag.
