The black and white kitten was removed from the shelter on Tuesday by a man who climbed over the fence in order to take it.

Teessaurus Park - which home to giant steel dinosaurs on a prime riverside site - has long been a popular attraction for children and families.

And now it's set to attract new fans from far and wide thanks to a £250,000 cash injection.

Proposed upgrades include a cafe, toilets, enhanced lighting in the park and a childrens play area.
