There have been a further 58 confirmed cases of coronavirus across Teesside, according the latest 24-hour figures.

Stockton has once again seen the highest number of cases, with 23, whilst in Middlesbrough there were a further 12.

Here in Redcar and Cleveland there have been a further 13.

The opening of a new Covid-19 testing site in our area has been delayed.

A Covid testing site for people without symptoms of the virus was due to open at Golden Boy Green Community Centre in South Bank today.

However, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council announced on Friday that due to reasons beyond their control, the opening has been delayed.

The council has apologised for any inconvenience this causes, and say that they will provide an update once a new opening date is confirmed.

The volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were called into action in our area yesterday to search for a missing man.

The team were contacted by Cleveland Police yesterday afternoon with a request to assist them in searching for the missing man.

Team members were deployed in a number of search parties covering areas between Guisborough and Great Ayton.

During yesterday evening one of the search parties found the missing man who was uninjured and after a short while the Police attended to speak to him.

The Team members were then able to return to Base and stand-down.
