The latest figures show that there have been a further 584 fresh cases of coronavirus recorded across Teesside.

Stockton saw an increase of 161 new cases, taking the borough past 10,000 cases in total since March last year.

In Middlesbrough, there were a further 129 new cases, whilst here in Redcar and Cleveland there have been a further 131.

 

Police are appealing after a group of youths reportedly ripped up bricks from a mural and threw them around.

Officers are investigating the considerable amount of damage and would appeal for any witnesses to come forward.

The incident took place overnight last Monday into Tuesday at the Jade Green Park in Grangetown.

Anyone with information regarding those responsible is asked to contact Eston Neighbourhood Policing Team on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

 

Police are investigating after a number of people pulled down fences in order to sledge in a field in our area.

Horses were left distressed and at potential risk after what’s believed to be a large group of people pulled down fencing so they could sledge in the animals’ fields near Eston.

The damage is believed to have been caused on Saturday afternoon or evening.

Owners were also concerned the horses could have got onto the A174 Parkway and be struck by a vehicle or cause an accident if motorists had to take action to avoid them on the carriageway.

Enquiries are on-going and anyone with information on who may be responsible for the damage is asked to contact Cleveland Police via the non-emergency numnber 101.
