The latest figures released by Public Health England have shown that 363 more people on Teesside have been confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus.
Stockton recorded the highest increase in cases with another 120 people contracting the virus, while Hartlepool also recorded over 100 new cases of Covid-19.
78 more people have contracted the virus in Middlesbrough and 63 here in Redcar and Cleveland.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a two vehicle collision which happened on a busy road in our area.
It took place at twenty to four on Friday afternoon on Ladgate Lane in Middlesbrough, at its junction with Overdale Road, and it involved a Vauxhall Vectra and a Renault Master.
The occupants of the Vectra, a man and woman in their 70s, both required hospital treatment.
Any witnesses or drivers who captured the collision on dash cam are asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
Residents of South Bank are being asked what measures the police and community safety partners should take to make their area safer.
Following a national investment from the Home Office, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have over £100,000 to spend on improved street lighting, CCTV and alley-gate schemes to make the neighbourhood safer.
Residents are asked to complete a short survey on the council's website to let the council know how they can better protect residents from crime.
Today is the closing date for the survey.
