Teesside has seen its biggest daily surge in coronavirus cases since May.
Public Health England figures released yesterday have revealed that there have been more cases confirmed in all four local authorities.
The new figures show a further 58 people have had a positive covid-19 test across Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and Cleveland and Hartlepool on Monday.
Stockton had the largest increase with 21 new cases recorded, whilst Hartlepool recorded 19 new cases.
In Middlesbrough, a further 12 people tested positive, and in Redcar and Cleveland six further cases have been confirmed.
The Mobile Covid-19 Testing Unit will once again be available at Kirkleatham Walled Garden tomorrow and Thursday.

You should only book a test if you are showing Coronavirus symptoms, and make sure that you book a test before arriving at the Mobile Testing Unit.
Police are appealing for information following a reported assault near to Sainsbury’s Local on Bankfields Road in Eston.
The incident occurred between 11pm and midnight on Sunday night, when the victim was approached by around five males and assaulted.
The male victim aged 36 years suffered a fractured skull and injuries to his leg.
