Neighbourhood Policing Officers in Redcar have seized over £400k worth of cannabis plants.

Officers from the Redcar Neighbourhood team seized over 500 cannabis plants from two flats on Station Road in Redcar yesterday.

A drugs warrant was carried out at the properties following intelligence received from the local community.

The seized cannabis plants are estimated to be worth around £420,000.

Police are appealing for information after the stairwell wall at the rear of the Viewley Centre in Hemlington was damaged.

It is believed the damage was caused over the last couple of days however it was reported to police yesterday.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the wall being damaged or anyone with private CCTV or dash cam footage to come forward to help officers trace the people who are responsible.
