A local coronavirus support email address has been set up for those in need and the most vulnerable;
...and a teenager has appeared in court charged with robbery and two other offences.
As the country goes into lockdown due to concern over Coronavirus, the number of cases in our area remains static.
According to the latest figures published yesterday evening by Public Health England, there are currently 3 confirmed cases in Redcar and Cleveland, out of a local population of just under 137,000 people.
There are currently 3 cases confirmed in Middlesbrough.
A local coronavirus support email address has been set up for those in need and the most vulnerable
The email address has been set up by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council to offer help for those with problems related to the coronavirus.
Vulnerable people are also being urged to call the authority if they need support.

People who are self-isolating or need support are also being urged to join a new Facebook community site which offers support and advice and puts people in touch with community groups and volunteers who are offering help.
The site can be found by searching for Redcar and Cleveland Coronavirus Support Group on Facebook.
A teenager has appeared in court charged with robbery and two other offences.
Officers from Redcar CID have charged a 16 year old male with robbery and two counts of possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
The charges were made in connection with a reported incident which occurred on Friday where a man was allegedly threatened with a knife and money was taken from him.
The charged male appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday.
