A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man in our area.

The victim, who was in his 40s, died at a property in Brackenfield Court, Eston, on Monday evening. He has not yet been formally identified.

29 year old Andrew Timney, of Brackenfield Court, appeared briefly before Teesside magistrates yesterday, where he spoke only to confirm his details.

He was remanded to appear again at Teesside Crown Court on 10 March.

Neighbourhood Police Officers have visited youngsters at Loftus Youth Club following reports of Anti Social Behaviour in the town.

Police have recently received several reports of anti-social behaviour on an evening in the Duncan Place area of Loftus, involving a group of local youths.

Police say that they have now been given the names of the youths causing the anti-social behaviour and officers will be conducting Joint visits to their homes with the local authority Anti Social Behaviour officer.

Youth club staff have notified Police that any youths responsible for causing anti-social behaviour are not welcome to attend.

Members of the public are being invited to get involved with the East Cleveland Klondike Grand Prix when it returns this April.

The organisers of the event are looking for responsible, mature volunteers to help support the event in everything from helping the traffic management team to promoting the event and answering questions from members of the public on the day.
