Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery at the cash machines outside of Tesco at The Parkway Centre in Coulby Newham.
The incident occurred on Sunday 28th January at 3:30pm when a man engaged in a conversation with the victim prior to attending the cash machine.
The victim then withdrew cash from the machine and the man snatched the money (£40) from him. He is described as being a white male, between 25-35-years-old and around 6ft/ 6 ft 4”tall with short mousy/wavy hair and of heavy build. He was also wearing a body warmer.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information is asked to contact PC Ailsa Bradley on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Volunteers from the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were called into action yesterday.
Four members of the Team assisted a district nurse to reach some of her patients who needed urgent care. The team members had to operate in some of the worst conditions that they've seen on the moors in their 50 year history with snowdrifts 50 to 60 cm high and blizzard conditions where the wind was blasting the snow into drifts across the roads.
The team also assisted with an elderly patient in Skelton who had fallen and needed hospital treatment, and with district nurses to reach rural patients.
The team also used their 4x4 vehicles to assist a number of drivers who's vehicles were stuck in the snow.
