Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at Subway in Eston.
Two vehicles were used in the burglary at the store on Holme Beck Close.
Detectives investigating the incident believe that a silver Mercedes four-wheel drive was used to gain entry to the shop and a smaller darker coloured vehicle was also present.
Officers believe there are a number of people involved, and they drove off in the two vehicles towards the direction of Grangetown.
A safe was taken, however, it is yet to be confirmed what, if anything, was inside.
Police would appeal for anyone with information or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the vehicles or mobile phone footage of the incident to contact Detective Sergeant Neil Coaker from Redcar and Cleveland Operational Crime Team on the non-emergency number 101.
Foster carers in Redcar and Cleveland will have their council tax bills discounted under a new scheme to encourage more new carers.
The move, introduced by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, will see council-supported foster carers receive a monthly exemption on their council tax up to the amount of £1,500 a year.
The change will begin immediately for newly recruited foster carers, and will be rolled out to current carers in the new council tax year in April 2018.
The council is also offering an increase in its weekly children’s allowance, which means to cover the cost of providing for a child.
