A motorcyclist who died after a crash in Guisborough has now been identified.

The fatal collision happened at around half nine on Sunday on Bolckow Street.

Now the man has been unofficially identified but his name is still being withheld while investigations are ongoing.

And specially trained officers have been appointed to support his family.

Any witnesses who were in the area are asked to call police on non-emergency number 101.

More people have been cut off by the tide on Redcar beach.

Yesterday the group managed to wade to shore and the lifeboat was called off.

However it comes shortly after people were rescued near the Regent Cinema.

Three members of the lifeboat service got their wetsuits on and walked them back to safety.

Now they're warning people to be more wary of tide times when walking on the beach.

And organisers of the Festival of Thrift are urging visitors to book tickets early because they're already selling out fast.

The arrangements for this year's event are now well underway.

And visitors can learn how to live sustainably by getting creative while saving money and the environment.

This year's event is set to take place on the 23rd and 24th of September at Kirkleatham Museum.
