A motorcyclist has been left with two broken legs after being hit by a car.

The rider was in collision with a silver Audi at around half six on Sunday evening on Broadway West in Dormanstown.

He was taken to hospital with broken legs and had surgery on them yesterday.

Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and one still remains in custody.

Any witnesses are asked to call Detective Constable Andrew Paice on 101.

Local teenagers have been left disappointed after vandals caused damage to one of their community projects.

Teens from an East Cleveland national citizen service were building an adventure run in Locke Park's play area.

They arrived at the park on Monday morning to find two of the new picnic benches they put in had been ripped out by vandals.

But instead of letting the setback get them down the team got straight back to work fixing them.

And police are warning Snapchat users to be careful after people from our area have received malicious links.

Links have been sent both by friends and new contacts claiming to have photos of the victim.

When the link is clicked the user's asked to login to Facebook only to have their account has been taken over.

Now Cleveland Police are asking locals to be careful and to delete any Facebook apps they're not comfortable with.
