Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a farm in the Grey Towers area of Nunthorpe in Middlesbrough;

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a farm in the Grey Towers area of Nunthorpe in Middlesbrough.

The four male suspects were disturbed as they attempted to steal lawnmowers and car batteries between 1.20pm and 1.30pm on Friday 14th July.

As a result of being confronted by a member of the public, the suspects fled the scene and the stolen goods were recovered.

The suspects used an 02 plate white Ford Transit van to travel in, which made off in the direction of the A172. The van had fluorescent orange jackets on the dashboard.

The first male is described as white, of medium build, of average height and aged in his early twenties, with short, dark hair that was shaved at the sides. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts and had a local accent.

The second male is described as white, of skinny build and aged 18-20 years old. He was wearing blue shorts and a blue T-shirt and had a local accent.

The third male is described as white, around 18 years old and wearing blue shorts and a blue top.

The final suspect is described as a white male, around 13 years old with fair hair and was wearing red shorts.

Any witnesses or anyone with information on the identity of those responsible are asked to call PC Daniel Smythe on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

 

The line up for one of Teesside’s popular music and comedy festivals has been revealed.

The Dance Tent at the Redcar Rocks Festival will be playing host to Noughties dance star Rui da Silva, and also Darren from the band 808 State.

Middlesbrough Riffraff DJ Levi Stubbs will also be attending the event, along with Ged Bramwell, who known across the North east for his work with Dan Thomas of the TV show Geordie Shore.

The festival is taking place over the weekend of September the 8th and 9th and features five stages of music and comedy, plus camping, a fair and a silent disco.

 

Saltburn has once again made it into a national list of the best places to live.

The Sunday Times used a range of factors to compile the list, which details dozens of communities from around the UK which are considered to be the 'Best Places To Live By The Sea'.

Only 17 places from across the UK have been selected to appear on the list, and Saltburn comes in at number 13.

The town beat other locations in England, Scotland and Wales to feature in the list.
