Police are hunting for a couple spotted performing a “sex act” in the middle of a Marske street.

A witness called the police after driving past them up a private street near St Germain's Lane last week.

Police have since been investigating and are now looking for any CCTV footage that might’ve caught it.

A pensioner has sent a letter to the Prime Minister praising the council for helping her husband stay at home after a stay in hospital.

The man needed support with both mobility and confidence when he came home to live with his wife in Guisborough.

The council's Recovery and Independence Team helped him with care visits and taught him how to do tasks himself.

The couple were so impressed that they have written a letter to Theresa May.

The Festival of Thrift is looking for local artists to produce work for this year's event.

Three artists will be chosen and will get a £1000 bursary and a mentor.

It is available to emerging artists of any age living or working in Teesside or County Durham.

The deadline for applications is 9am next Friday.

There's still time to enter Redcar's Sprint Triathlon using an early bird discount offer.

It takes place on Sunday July 30 and is one of the qualifying events for the World Sprint Triathlon Championships later this year.

Competitors will tackle a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run around Redcar seafront.

To qualify for the early bird discount people must submit their entries before Monday.
