A man has been robbed while cycling in our area;
Police are appealing for information after arson was committed on Redcar High Street;
...and police are also looking for witnesses after reports of a car driving on Redcar beach.
A man has been robbed while cycling in our area.
It happened on Saturday when the cyclist was approached by two men on Eston Hills near Wilton Golf Club.
They threatened him and took his black, blue and orange mountain bike.
The first suspect is described as being around 18-years-old, 5'10" tall and was wearing a black baseball cap and a light blue jacket.
The second man is described as being about 5'7" tall, of medium build and wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Gareth Davies on 101.
Police are appealing for information after arson was committed on Redcar High Street.
They're investigating the suspicious fire that happened at the back of W H Smith on Sunday night.
A sky light was smashed and several items were set on fire but they burned out quickly afterwards.
Anyone who might have seen suspicious behaviour should contact PC Leigh Stevens on 101.
Police are also looking for witnesses after reports of a car driving on Redcar beach.
It happened at around three o'clock in the afternoon on the second of June between Majuba car park and the lifeboat slipway.
The car was said to be performing “dangerous manoeuvres” while the beach was busy.
Fortunately no one was injured.
