Armed police attended two incidents on residential streets in Teesside within an hour of each other yesterday.

At around 4:00 yesterday afternoon, armed police stormed a house on Crescent Road in Middlesbrough.

Witnesses have described how they were told to stand back and stay indoors as officers burst into the terraced house.

Meanwhile officers armed with guns and police dogs attended Priory Road in Acklam at around 5:00 pm yesterday.

A number of police vehicles attended the incident with officers stopping vehicles going into the road.

Cleveland Police have not yet released any information about either of the incidents.

Officers from Guisborough Neighbourhood Policing Team are visiting primary schools in our area to give presentations to local youngsters.

Due to the upcoming summer holidays and lighter nights officers from the team are conducting "Stranger Danger" presentations at local Primary Schools in East Cleveland.

They are also looking for other ideas relating to policing presentations that groups could benefit from.

If you are part of a school or group that you feel would benefit from this presentation or anything relating to Anti Social Behaviour and Policing you can get in contact on the non-emergency number 101.

A student from Eston is heading to Egypt to represent England at the Top Model of the World international final.

19-year-old Rebecca Ridsdale will be jetting off on July 3rd to represent England at the finale, which are being held this year in the El Gouna, Red Sea Resort in Egypt.

Rebecca, who is a diagnostic radiography student at Teesside University and a former Miss Tees Valley, won the chance to represent England after winning the Top Model of England title at the Supermodel England national finals last November.

During the trip Rebecca will be staying at the 5 star Ancient Sands resort, as well as taking part in a number of photo shoots and fashion shows.

If Rebecca wins the international title she will walk away with $10,000 cash and prizes worth $20,000, as well as bringing the international title back with her to Teesside.
