A man has been arrested after reports of a rape in Redcar;

A Redcar man has been missing in Benidorm for over a week;

...and residents are invited to Kick off the Summer in Redcar over the bank holiday weekend.

 

 

A man has been arrested and released after reports of a rape in Redcar. Police were called on Wednesday night after a woman was raped at the bottom of a bridge near France Street and Charles Street.

Detectives are investigating the attack and the woman is getting support from specialist officers.

A 55-year-old man arrested on suspicion of rape has been questioned and released from police custody yesterday with no bail conditions while inquiries continue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland Police on non-emergency number 101.

 

The public are being asked to help trace a Redcar man who has been missing in Benidorm for over a week.

Police are appealing for help to try and find him. Donald Cheetham was due to fly home on May 12 but hasn't returned despite hims belongings being left in his hotel room.

Social media users are being asked to share a photo of Mr Cheetham that can be found on Cleveland Police's Twitter and Facebook pages.

And anyone who is travelling to Spain in the next few days is asked to keep a lookout for him.

Residents are being invited to Kick off the Summer in Redcar over the bank holiday weekend.

The event will take place over four days and will celebrate summer with children's entertainment, sand sculpting and a continental market.

This year the event will be based on the grass area in front of Tuned In. There’ll also be family workshops, a bar and food will be available.

The event will be on from Friday 26 til May 29 from 10:00am til 4:00pm.
