Police probe bike theft
Police are appealing for information after a mountain bike was stolen from outside the Lodge Service Station in Eston on Thursday afternoon.
The theft happened at around 4.25pm, when the black cycle was left near the front of the forecourt. Witnesses say the bike was stolen by a man who cycled off on it.
Anyone who has information on the theft or who has seen the mountain bike offered for sale is asked to contact PC Carolann Warnock on the non emergency number 101. Alternatively please contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
