A popular Middlesbrough market has been forced to call off it's plans to open tomorrow following warnings of severe weather.

High wind speeds, which are predicted to hit more than 40 miles an hour tomorrow, mean it would be unsafe to hold the Christmas Eve event of the popular monthly Orange Pip Market.

Organisers of the event said that they have taken the decision for safety reasons.

The first Orange Pip Market was held in May on Baker Street before spreading onto neighbouring Bedford Street.
