Police are appealing for information following a burglary on Webster Road in Eston.
The incident occured between the hours of 11pm and 5am on Tuesday.
Entry was gained by the rear kitchen window and several items were taken from the house.
Officers are advising homeowners to be aware of the burglary in this area and take all possible precautions to ensure that properties are left secure when unattended and overnight.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact South Bank police station on 101 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
PD Ports’ employees are celebrating after graduating with leadership qualifications.
The ‘Class of 2016’ was made up of 41 members of staff who all successfully completed levels two, three or five Chartered Management Institute diplomas in Management and Leadership.
The bespoke programmes, involving talented workers aged between 25 and 55 from across the business, were designed and delivered by Stockton Riverside College where the graduation ceremony was held.
Staff at different stages in their careers attended college every three weeks while juggling academic assignments with their jobs and family life.
A key component of the courses was linking learning back to the workplace, the students were encouraged to talk about their own experiences leading to strong interdepartmental relationships and a better understanding of other operations across the business.
The staff involved said they have increased their skills and career prospects while helping to grow the award-winning local port and logistics business.
North Yorkshire’s Moorsbus network has introdued free travel for the summer for under 16's.
Up to four under 16s can enjoy a day out in the moors completely free, so long as they travel with an adult holding a bargain £8 all day Moors Rover ticket.
The offer applies every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of September, across the whole Moorsbus network. Buses run direct from Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Saltburn to popular Moors destinations, including the Moors National Park Centre at Danby, the Ryedale Folk Museum at Hutton-le-Hole, Helmsley and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering.
