The main man at Redcar RNLI has decided to call it a day.

Dave Cammish, Lifeboat operations manager at Redcar, has called time on his long stint on the water in East Cleveland.

Dave joined up as a crew member in 1982 and in his 32-year stint, well over 200 lives have been saved.

The former policeman will be succeeded by another Dave, Dave Cocks, who has been with the Lifeboat since 1978.
